Nank Clip Pro Open-ear headphone Review–Why I’m Sticking with It After My Personal Test

Experiencing the Nank Clip Pro—ultra-lightweight open-ear clip-on headphones with Bluetooth 5.4, IPX5 waterproof rating, and superior call noise reduction. Perfect for running, cycling, workouts, and daily use.

"To be honest, I didn’t have high expectations at first."
I’ve used plenty of headphones, from high-end in-ear models to bone conduction types. But “clip-on earphones”? I thought it was just a gimmick. However, out of curiosity about this open-ear headphones wearing design and the new Bluetooth 5.4 technology, I decided to get the Nank Clip Pro. After using it for two weeks, this review is my most genuine experience — it has both strengths and weaknesses, but I still use it every day.

I tested it in different scenarios: running, commuting to work, working out at the gym, cycling, and making calls.

First Impressions: Lightweight, Easy to Wear, and Secure Fit

The Nank Clip Pro adopts a C-shaped clip-on design, different from traditional bone conduction or in-ear headphones. It fixes onto the auricle for stability without pressing the ear canal or contacting the skull, resulting in greater wearing comfort.

Each earbud weighs only 5.1 grams — so light that you barely notice them. Whether running or doing jump exercises at the gym, they stay securely in place on the auricle. The open-ear structure ensures that while listening to music, you maintain good awareness of ambient sounds, improving outdoor safety.

Scientific basis: Multiple human factors engineering studies show that prolonged ear canal blockage can lead to hearing fatigue and bacterial growth. Open-ear headphones offer better health benefits and comfort for long-term wear.

Sound Performance: Directional Audio Better Than Expected

What surprised me was that the sound quality is actually impressive. The officially promoted 360° immersive surround sound + DS2.0 directional audio technology is not a gimmick.

For an open-ear headphone, its bass is quite good. While it can’t match the deep, heavy low-frequency thump of in-ear models, it’s more than enough for running or cycling. Plus, even at a fairly high volume, people nearby can’t hear what you’re listening to — the privacy is a huge plus.

Call Noise Reduction: Great at This Price Point

Although it’s not an active noise-canceling headphone, its AI intelligent call noise reduction + dual-microphone noise reduction work impressively well during conference calls and daily phone conversations.

I tried making calls on the street and outside the office — the other party could hardly hear any background noise. If you often make calls on the go, this feature is very practical.

Battery Life: Solid Real-World Performance

The official claim is 6 hours of single use + an extra 24 hours from the charging case, and my real experience is about the same. Using it for 1–2 hours daily, one full charge of the case lasts about a week.

It also supports fast charging — a quick 10-minute charge before heading out easily covers a run or commute, which is extremely convenient.

IPX5 Waterproof: Sweat and Rain Are No Problem

I sweat a lot when exercising and have also used them in light rain, but this headphone has remained stable without any issues. While the IPX5 water resistance rating means they are not suitable for swimming and cannot be compared to waterproof swimming headphones, they are completely suitable for daily exercise or commuting in the rain.

Bluetooth 5.4: More Stable and Longer Range

This is my first time using a Bluetooth 5.4 headphone, and the connection is indeed more stable than my previous Bluetooth models. At the gym, I could leave my phone in the corner and complete an entire workout class without losing connection. The signal range is also impressive — it works even through walls indoors.

Summary:

If you’re looking for an open-ear, clip-on sports headphone that is lightweight, offers clear calls, has good sound quality, and balances safety with comfort — the Nank Clip Pro is definitely worth considering.
However, if you prioritize immersive noise cancellation and deep bass, this might not be for you. But if you value comfort, safety during workouts, balanced sound, and everyday convenience, its performance will exceed expectations.

Final Rating:

There are plenty of headphone options these days, but the Nank Clip Pro’s design approach is rare. It’s not about chasing extreme sound quality or flashy features — it’s built genuinely for everyday use + sports scenarios.
It truly delivers on being light, stable, fast and quiet. Once you get used to it, you might forget it’s there — but you’ll find it hard to go without.
